2003-02-02
This event was held on 2003.02.02 at a gravel pit near White Heath, Illinois. It was sponsored by the CIR SCCA. We probably had about forty drivers there. The first heat went by very quickly, it seemed. My brother and I shared his '03 WRX during it, so that's probably part of the reason. My brother did some fantastic driving (as you can see on the scoreboard). I did some poor (but fun!) driving, that ended up being good enough for 6th out of 15. Of course, I didn't get any photos of the first heat, since I was in the car the whole time. Lots of photos of the second heat, though. It really dragged on, since the 2WD cars just couldn't make it up the hills very well. Still, it was a blast. I'll probably stick to racing on asphalt, though :).
