The course this day was in the same location as the course Saturday, but it was very different. It was right-handed and much more wide open than Saturday's. I thought that would put me at a serious disadvantage, since though my car handles well, it doesn't have the power to get going on the straighter sections of a course. Nonetheless, my times were good enough for another second place finish. (Beaten by the Civic Si again!) I once again managed to not hit any cones, and improved my time on all but my last lap (out of five). They red-flagged the course on one of my runs because a previous driver had hit a cone, and it had not been reset properly. I redid that lap and had a good run, but after everyone was done, I was given a sixth lap. I wasn't sure why, since the lap I redid was official, but I suspect it was because one of the cones going into the slalom was somewhat to the right of where it should have been. Anyway, my time on that sixth run was almost a whole second faster than my other best, but I hit the last cone of the slalom for no reason whatsoever, which adds two seconds to the time. Since they didn't count that lap (I'm not sure why), I'll assume it didn't count and maintain my record of not hitting any cones :).
