Below are photos of the Aurora Borealis from 2004-11-07. These were taken on Kirby Avenue about a mile or so west of Champaign, IL. The only other time I remember seeing the Northern Lights was when flying to Russia. The second-to-last is from two nights later. There's still definitely some aurora action going on, but there was also a layer of clouds and haze. The light pollution certainly doesn't help, either.
